FAQ

Venture studio FAQ

Short answers before you book a call.

What is a venture studio?

A venture studio builds and operates companies alongside their owners instead of only advising or funding them. At BulliOne Venture Studio we handle structure, setup, operations and reporting for your venture in Africa.

How can a foreign investor invest in Africa?

The simplest route is to own a venture directly with a local operating partner. We set up the company, handle regulatory exposure and run day-to-day operations, so you can invest in Kenya and other African markets without relocating.

Can foreigners own a business in Kenya?

Foreign investors can generally own companies in Kenya, though some sectors carry specific rules. We structure each venture for you and advise on the requirements for your sector.

Do I hold equity in the venture directly?

Yes. You hold direct equity in your venture, not a share in a pooled studio vehicle.

How does BulliOne get paid?

A minority shareholding plus performance fees. There are no management fees, and each venture has its own operating budget.

Do I need to be in Africa?

No. Involvement is hybrid: as hands-on or hands-off as you like, with regular reports on progress and KPIs.

Where do you start?

Our first market is Kenya, with a base in Nairobi, then Nigeria, Uganda, Ethiopia, Egypt, Rwanda and further.

What are the Kenya SEZ benefits?

Preferential corporate tax, duty and VAT relief, a 100% capex deduction and withholding tax exemptions. See the Kenya SEZ section above.
